mary mack lyrics by Rob Nor
hook)
Many many nights, many days, it get testy./ Tell me watch and pray, yes, okay, I be wrestling./ Glory from your face, filled with praise, I be empty!/ I was but a slave, in my grave, when you met me!
I dont broke, I brake, it go crack! crack! crack!/ Everything I lost get it, back! back! back!/ Old me passed away and that's a fact! Fact! Fact!/ Pull up in all black, I'm Mary Mack! Mack! Mack!
(verse)
Tell my son I'm one to wage war! Been this way since 2019!/ All this pain gon' make your heart pure! Upright man gon' do the right thing!/ P 28 v 13, heart gonna break, keep it clean, you gotta pray, learn to lean-/ On the cross you cling, nothing you bring, but his praise you sing, when fire stings!/
Like - Ah! Ah! Ah! I got wounds I can't mend!/ I lend you my life, this fight I can't fend! The cross of the Christ, I can't comprehend!/ It's power in plight you can't play pretend. As I call you, Lord, you're calling me friend./ When I lose it all, I find you again, again, and again, again, and again, again and again!
Cuz many, many nights and many days, it do get testy!/ Tell me watch and pray, well yes okay, let's get to wrestling!/ Yea, you got the one, this for my son, he need that blessing!/ When chaos is pressing and stressing, you're resting!

(verse 2)
I'm Mary Mack. Lose my life I bury that./ Finding hope inside my grief, the sweet relief is staring back./ I see glory on the way I see wisdom on display./ What you hearing in these raps I learn to grasp it when I pray.
We wait, in the silence, at war with the tyrants. 3 shots point blank./ We wait on the sirens, this real life violence. These days we afraid./ We can wade in the water, Christ be the harbor, the author, the alpha, omega!/ The minor, the major, the iPhone, the pager, the now and the later, your kingdom come in the pews and bodegas!
Saying tell my son I'm one to wage war! Been this way since 2019!/ All this pain gon' make your heart pure, upright man gon' do the right thing!/ Fly on eagle wings, we gon' soar! This right here my ultralight beam!/ Fly on eagle wings, we gon' soar! This right here my ultralight beam!

biography of the artist Rob Nor:
Who Rob Nor Is
Rob Nor is a hip‑hop artist from Cleveland, Ohio, born July 31, 2000. He blends personal life experiences, faith, social‑concerns and honest storytelling in his music. Before committing to music full‑time, he had early exposure to church and the local community, which has shaped both his worldview and his artistry.
Background & Life‑Journey
Rob grew up without a consistent father‑figure, raised by his mother along with his sister. That upbringing gave him a longing for identity and belonging. He discovered rap around age 12 — a friend introduced him to it — and writing lyrics became his outlet. In high school he ran into difficulties, but the support from church leaders and youth‑pastors played an important role in offering direction. After high school he studied recording arts at community college, hoping to build a music career and support his younger sister.
In his late teens/early twenties, a period of personal struggle followed: he became a father while still very young, underwent the challenges of early parenthood during difficult times, and experienced a period when his faith was disconnected from his life. Over time, he returned to faith and used his experiences — hardship, hope, loss and redemption — to inform his music with depth, honesty and vulnerability.
Music Career & Mission
Rob Nor uses his music as a platform to merge faith, creative arts, and social justice. As much as he raps and sings, he also engages in ministry: as of 2023, he accepted a role as a Juvenile Justice Minister with a youth‑serving organization, working to help marginalized and at-risk youth. Through that role, he’s developing programs that use music and creative arts to give young people positive outlets — helping them tell their stories and find purpose.
In his own music, Rob Nor reflects on identity, hardship, faith, and community realities. His lyrical style uses metaphor, narrative, and vivid imagery to invite listeners into personal stories, while also challenging social issues and calling for hope and restoration.
Artistic Style & What Makes Him Stand Out
Rob’s music sits at the intersection of contemporary hip‑hop, faith-based insight, and community consciousness.
He’s unafraid to expose vulnerability, struggles, doubts, and redemption — giving his work emotional and spiritual weight.
His commitment to mentoring youth and using music as a tool for social change makes him different from many “just‑music” artists: he sees artistry as ministry and outreach.
Because of his mix of raw authenticity and hope-driven messages, his music resonates with listeners who appreciate both honesty and faith.
