Hails from Ikot Ofon Ikono in Akwa Ibom State.
Son of E. Joshua Bassey, a minister in the Apostolic Church.
Married to Sarah Bassey since 2013; they have two children.
Education & Early Life
Studied International Relations & Politics at the University of Lagos.
Went to London to further his studies in politics.
Studied music during a summer program at Middlesex University.
Early in his music journey, he was drawn to jazz, worship, and church music.
Ministry & Music Career
Began music in church; played trumpet and joined bands/groups like the Steve Rhodes Orchestra.
His debut album Elohim (2008) was recorded in Cape Town, South Africa.
Has released multiple albums over the years, including The Son of God, Revival Flames, Jesus: The Resurrection & the Life, The King is Coming, Hallelujah Again, Names of God, among others.
Known for worship songs that are widely sung in churches such as Imela, Onise Iyanu, Olowogbogboro.
Hallelujah Challenge
Launched the #HallelujahChallenge in June 2017.
