Newsboys

Origins & History

Newsboys is a Christian pop/rock band formed in 1985 in Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia.

They later relocated to the U.S. and have had members from different countries over the years.

Members & Line-up Changes

Current members:

Adam Agee (lead vocals, since 2025)

Jody Davis (guitar)

Jeff Frankenstein (keyboards, bass)

Duncan Phillips (drums, percussion)

Former prominent members include Peter Furler (founder and longtime lead singer), Phil Joel, and Michael Tait (lead singer before Agee).
