Full name: Olusola Allyson-Obaniyi
Born: September 24, 1971
Place of birth: Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria
Education & Early Life
She began her education in Ikorodu: primary school at Anglican Primary School, then secondary school at Shams-el-Deen Grammar School.
Studied Business Studies at Government Technical College, Agidingbi, Ikeja, and obtained a NBTE certificate.
In 1997, she was admitted into The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where she studied Music Technology (major in Voice, minor in Piano) and graduated with a Higher National Diploma (HND) with Upper Credit.
Started singing backup/chorus as early as age 13, working with established Nigerian musicians.
Music Career & Rise to Fame
Her first major break came in 2003 when she was asked to sing the soundtrack for a movie. That soundtrack became Eji Owuro, which then turned into a full album.
That debut album Eji Owuro brought her into prominence.
Style & Musical Identity
She sings mostly in Yoruba, integrates Yoruba rhythms and culture with gospel, folk, and soul music.
Known for her warm alto voice and lyrics that are poetic, reflective, often dealing with human experience, testimony, faith, hope, encouragement.
She’s also recognized as a voice coach, counselor, and consultant.

Personal Life & Other Roles
Married to Toyin Obaniyi since 2003; they have three children.
Apart from singing, she is involved in mentoring, voice coaching, and uses her music also as a ministry, touching on emotional healing, encouragement, and cultural expression.
