Background & Bio

TEMITOPE is a singer-songwriter and worship leader based in Nashville, Tennessee.

His name, which comes from the Yoruba language, means “mine is thanks.”

He grew up in a multicultural household: his dad is Nigerian and his mom is British, both immigrants to the U.S.

From his upbringing, he developed a passion for unity through diversity, and that influences both his life and music.

Music & Ministry

He writes and leads worship music that’s shaped by his cultural heritage and a heart for people of different backgrounds coming together.

One of his more well-known songs is “Great Is Your Faithfulness.”

He’s worked independently for years and has collaborated with other Christian artists & groups.

Later, he partnered with a larger Christian music label (Capitol Christian Music Group) to release new material.

He also runs something called THE LUMPY COUCH, which involves educational resources and conversations around unity and diversity.

Personal Life & Values

He’s married to Jordan, and they have children. They aim to build intentional community and hospitality in their home.

Values such as gratitude, inclusion, and bringing different people together are central to his message.
