Charity Gayle – Biography

Early Life and Background

Charity Gayle grew up in Buffalo, New York, in a home where worship and music were a big part of daily life. She was involved in church ministry from a young age — directing choirs by 16, and growing in her love for worship and harmonies.

Her early exposure to music and service in the church shaped her calling to lead worship and write songs that bridge gospel and modern worship.

Music Career

Charity began gaining recognition through her songwriting and leadership in church and worship settings. She spent some time in Nashville, which deepened her songwriting craft.

Her first solo album, Lord, You Are My Song, released in 2018, debuted at #1 in the Christian/Gospel genre. In 2021 she released Endless Praise, which also included the song Thank You Jesus for the Blood. She continues to write, lead worship, and release music regularly.

She was involved in writing songs like Amen, Psalm 100 (Enter In), New Name Written Down in Glory, and Cleansed. Her music tends to emphasize thankfulness, praise, and God’s faithfulness.
