Joe Mettle — Biography

Full Name: Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle

Joe Mettle was born in Accra as the eldest of six children. He grew up in a Christian family, and early on developed a love for worship and music. His formal education included primary and secondary schooling in Accra, followed by studies at Pentecost University College. He also did studies in draftsmanship earlier in his academic career.

Music & Ministry Career

He started out as a backing vocalist for prominent Ghanaian gospel artists. He was also lead vocalist for a group called Soul Winners.

He released his first album in the early 2010s, and over the years has produced several albums that have gained national and international recognition.

His music crosses languages (including English, Twi, and local dialects) and mixes worship and contemporary gospel, with songs that encourage, uplift, and draw people into worship.
