Early Life & Background

Full name: Oluwadunsin Joshua Oyekan

Born: November 5, 1984

Place of birth: Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria

Son of Pastor Gbadebo Oyekan, General Overseer of Evangelical Baptist Church; his father also founded or led a worship group called Spiritual Singers.

Dunsin started musical training early: by age ten he was playing the guitar, encouraged by his father.

Education & Calling

Attended primary and secondary schools in Ilorin.

Studied Industrial Chemistry at the University of Ilorin.

In 2014, he made a decisive shift into full-time worship ministry, answering what he describes as a divine calling.

Music Ministry & Career

Known by the nickname “The Eagle.”

He plays several instruments, including guitar, keyboard, bass guitar, and drums.

Has worked as choir member, music director, and worship leader over time.

He is a prolific songwriter; many of his songs are used in worship settings across Nigeria and internationally.

Ministry Events & Platforms

Founder or convener of worship-focused gatherings such as Code Red Worship Experience, The Outpouring, Upper Room, and The Healing Room Worship Event.

These events are known for their extended worship sessions, prophetic atmosphere, spiritual depth, and often free admission or low barriers.

Personal Life

Married: was married on February 2, 2013 to Adedoyin Oyekan, who was his university classmate.

Children: two children.

His wife Adedoyin passed away on May 18, 2019.

Despite this personal tragedy, he continues his ministry and raising his children, remaining committed to worship and spiritual leadership.
