Full name: Phindile Phewa, known by her stage name Phindi P.

She is from Izingolweni, a coastal town in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

She grew up in a Christian family and was involved in music from a young age.

Music & Ministry Career

Started as a backing vocalist, working with artists such as Dumi Mkokstad, Thina Zungu, Mthunzi Namba, and the late Sfiso Ncwane.

In 2018, she released her first EP titled Raising Jesus Flag, which won Best Contemporary Song at the Gospel Crown Music Awards.

She has also released singles like Ngobambelela, and more recent projects include the EP Prayer Altar.

Other Roles & Talents

Radio Presenter: She works with Ukhozi FM, hosting shows such as Ulibo Lokuqala and Ebukhoneni.

Actress & TV Artist: She has acted in TV shows such as Isitulo, Owami Nami, and others.

She is also involved in voice-over work and hosting (MC) for events.

Awards & Recognition

She has won several awards nationally and internationally, including Best International Female Soloist at the Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards.

She also was honoured as African Female Musician of the Year at the Ladies in Media Awards.

Recent Projects & Future Plans

Phindi P is preparing for a live recording album called Grace Notes, to be recorded at The Playhouse in Durban.

She has collaborations with other artists, including Peterson Okopi from Nigeria.
