Profile / Early Life

Full name: Oluwadunsin Joshua Oyekan

Nickname: “The Eagle”

Born on November 5, 1984 in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria

His father, Gbadebo Oyekan, was the General Overseer of Evangelical Baptist Church and leader of a worship group called Spiritual Singers — he greatly influenced Dunsin’s early musical exposure

Started music training very young: by age ~10 he was learning guitar & other instruments

Education & Calling

Studied Industrial Chemistry at University of Ilorin

In 2014, felt called into full-time worship/ministry rather than pursuing a secular job path

Music Ministry & Style

Multi-instrumentalist: plays guitar, keyboards, drums, etc.

Worship leader, songwriter, producer; focuses on worship that leads to spiritual encounter

Known for prophetic and revelation-led worship

Personal Life

Married Adedoyin Oyekan on February 2, 2013

They had two children

Adedoyin passed away on May 18, 2019

Despite the loss, Dunsin continues in his ministry
