Infinity

Overview

Infinity is a Nigerian gospel music group best known for their hit song “Olori Oko”, which became one of the most popular gospel tracks in Nigeria in the mid-2000s. The group is admired for their fusion of Yoruba folk music, contemporary gospel, and Afrocentric rhythms, creating a sound that is both traditional and modern.

Early Beginnings

Infinity was formed in the early 2000s by a group of young Nigerian musicians passionate about using music to spread the gospel in a unique and culturally rooted way. Their breakthrough came in 2006 when they released Olori Oko, a song that became an anthem in churches and gospel concerts across Nigeria.

Members

Originally, Infinity was a five-man group, including:

Samson Nnogo (Samson)

David Akintimehin (David)

Akinwunmi Akinsola (Akin)

Joe Joe Ojo (Joe)

Kenny Kore (Kenny)

Over the years, some members (including Kenny Kore) left to pursue solo careers, while others continued with the group’s vision.

Music Career

Infinity is best remembered for their debut album, also titled Olori Oko, which featured traditional instrumentation, deep Yoruba proverbs, and a message of eternal life and judgment. The album set them apart in the Nigerian gospel scene.
