Humble pie lyrics

Hook

Cross my heart, yes I died

Imma imma have a story on the other side

Let's make war, yes I'm sure

Repent and I believe that your love is pure

Casting cares and casting crowns, complications, crashing out

I know when they casting stones, you ah never cast me out

Casting cares and casting crowns, complications, crashing out

Father you so rich mercy, hol on, cash me out

Verse

Sanctify, sanctify, sanctify

Teach me how to pray, when I'm up late and I can't sleep at night

Heavy heart and heavy sighs, my pain and your peace collide

I can't lie I tried to hide, couldn't fight the humble cry

Cut my slice of humble pie, it taste like bravado

I ain't mean to hurt you when I moved out to Chicago

Pain that only God knows, grief is hard to swallow

This role ain't have no models, till God say come and follow

Beat change

356216247

They say a righteous man fall down 7, get up 8

In the stu with zoe you feel me

Still crying maranatha

All that

Verse

In the morning, grab my cross, I gotta carry it

I know my sin, it be the hatchet, gotta bury it

My whip 2000, I can't put my hope in chariots

I'm getting grown, this faith my own, ain't no vicarious

Pain, you can't be scared of it, insane the way I stare at it

Faith is for endurance, it will save you the embarrassment

Fighting for integrity, I'm changing up my heritage

Would curse him in the struggle, now I praise him, and I cherish it

Feeling like I'm Harriet, the way I'm preaching freedom

Justice for the poor, an application of the kingdom

The culture be at war, it got me asking if they seen him

The compassion of the Lord lead to repentance, what a phenom—

Enon, boy you know what we on

Good news for them gangsters, X you out like they was Elon

Hearts are cold without you, Holy Spirit, cut the heat on

These lyrics like a furnace every time I cut the beat on

Verse

Stuck in sin and he came and got me out

Clouded in my head I called unk

He said walk it out

Voices in my head try to keep me down

Stay in doubt

Jesus be the anchor of my boat

And now we shipping out

Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, wait

You can't count us out

Freedom for the ones who got boundaries

Imma stay in line

Caught a couple Ls

But it's a W on the next route

If you ever fail this ain't funny

It ain't for the clout

I say Rob, he say twin

I got something on my head

I got love for my twins

I got love for my friends

And you know we gotta keep it P

Cause you know they looking in

And we walking in the light

We can't fold we can't fade out

Grace is on our name

Every step it got laid out

We was rocking out with faith

With the gang, why we changing now

Jesus be the center of it all

What we screaming out

Had a couple bumps inside the road

But we made it out

biography of the artist Rob Nor:

Who Rob Nor Is

Rob Nor is a hip‑hop artist from Cleveland, Ohio, born July 31, 2000. He blends personal life experiences, faith, social‑concerns and honest storytelling in his music. Before committing to music full‑time, he had early exposure to church and the local community, which has shaped both his worldview and his artistry.

Background & Life‑Journey

Rob grew up without a consistent father‑figure, raised by his mother along with his sister. That upbringing gave him a longing for identity and belonging. He discovered rap around age 12 — a friend introduced him to it — and writing lyrics became his outlet. In high school he ran into difficulties, but the support from church leaders and youth‑pastors played an important role in offering direction. After high school he studied recording arts at community college, hoping to build a music career and support his younger sister.

In his late teens/early twenties, a period of personal struggle followed: he became a father while still very young, underwent the challenges of early parenthood during difficult times, and experienced a period when his faith was disconnected from his life. Over time, he returned to faith and used his experiences — hardship, hope, loss and redemption — to inform his music with depth, honesty and vulnerability.

Music Career & Mission

Rob Nor uses his music as a platform to merge faith, creative arts, and social justice. As much as he raps and sings, he also engages in ministry: as of 2023, he accepted a role as a Juvenile Justice Minister with a youth‑serving organization, working to help marginalized and at-risk youth. Through that role, he’s developing programs that use music and creative arts to give young people positive outlets — helping them tell their stories and find purpose.

In his own music, Rob Nor reflects on identity, hardship, faith, and community realities. His lyrical style uses metaphor, narrative, and vivid imagery to invite listeners into personal stories, while also challenging social issues and calling for hope and restoration.

Artistic Style & What Makes Him Stand Out

Rob’s music sits at the intersection of contemporary hip‑hop, faith-based insight, and community consciousness.

He’s unafraid to expose vulnerability, struggles, doubts, and redemption — giving his work emotional and spiritual weight.

His commitment to mentoring youth and using music as a tool for social change makes him different from many “just‑music” artists: he sees artistry as ministry and outreach.

Because of his mix of raw authenticity and hope-driven messages, his music resonates with listeners who appreciate both honesty and faith.
