Tye Tribbett was born into a deeply musical and faith-filled family — his father was a pastor, and his mother was both a minister and a choir director. He began playing instruments in church as a child, developing an early love for energetic gospel expression and live performance.
Music Career
Tye formed his choir group Tye Tribbett & Greater Anointing (G.A.) in the 1990s. The group quickly gained fame for their electrifying stage presence and innovative gospel sound that combined traditional church music with funk, hip-hop, and rock influences.
