Mike Abdul started his career as a founding member of Midnight Crew, a popular Nigerian gospel group known for the hit “Igwe.”
He worked as an executive officer for Midnight Crew Music.
He transitioned to a solo career, releasing albums like Good 2 Go, Korede, and Grateful.
He is known for blending traditional African sounds (like Fuji) with gospel, creating a style sometimes referred to as “AfroGospel.”
In 2025, he released a new single called “Fuji Rush”, which combines modern string/horn arrangements with classic Fuji percussion.
