I Did It Again lyrics by Tasha Cobbs Leonard

[Verse 1]

Oh no, I know I did it again

Tried to walk away, but my hands were tied

Another bad decision

But if I'm honest, it was all a lie

[Pre-Chorus]

Like I been fightin' this for all my life

How could this be wrong when it feels so right?

Right thing, wrong time

Your will or mine

My flesh won this time

[Chorus]

And the whole time

I shoulda walked away, ay

But no, I chose to stay

And the whole time

You tried to carry me out

I shoulda walked away

[Verse 2]

I'm at the altar again (Again)

Same tears, same fear, same shame and sin

I shoulda been stronger than this

If only I had trusted You to be my strength

[Pre-Chorus]

Like I been fightin' this for all my life

How could this be wrong when it feels so right?

Right thing, wrong timе

Your will or mine

Guess I was outta line

[Chorus]

And thе whole time

I shoulda walked away (Oh, but no, I chose to stay)

But no, I chose to stay

I knew that the whole time

You tried to carry me out

You tried to carry me out, I shoulda walked away

[Interlude]

Oh

Oh, oh

You're the God of another chance, oh, oh

Oh, oh

Yeah, yeah, yeah

[Outro]

So, the next time

I'm gonna turn away

I won't choose to stay

The next time

No need to carry me out

We'll just walk away
