Early Life & Background

Daughter of Fritz Cobbs (a bishop) and Bertha Cobbs, she grew up involved in her family’s church, Jesup New Life Ministries.

Began leading worship at an early age in her father’s ministry.

Music & Ministry Career

In 2006, she became involved in a bigger worship ministry in Atlanta. She took roles leading worship and working in the arts and worship departments of her church.

In 2010 she released her first independent project, an album called Smile.

Her breakthrough came in 2013 when she released the EP Grace, featuring the song Break Every Chain, which became one of her signature hits.

Other major projects include One Place Live, Heart. Passion. Pursuit., Royalty: Live at The Ryman, among others.

Personal Life & Leadership

Married Kenneth Leonard (a music producer) in 2017. He had children from before, who she became a stepmother to, and together they have also adopted a son.

She is co-pastor of The Purpose Place Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina, together with her husband.
