Early Life & Education
Only daughter among three children of Joseph Akinyele Obayomi and Agnes Kehinde Obayomi
Attended Oba Akinyele Memorial High School, Ibadan — earned WAEC in 1986
Studied Mass Communication at The Polytechnic, Ibadan — graduated in 1990
Early Career
Started singing in the church choir at age seven
As a young adult, joined Jesters International (a drama/comedy/theatre group) in her school days
After tertiary education, worked briefly with Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) as correspondent and with an advertising agency
In 1994, joined the Alade Aromire Theatre Group; this was where she did a lot of soundtrack work for Yoruba movies
Music & Ministry Journey
She released her debut gospel album “Ore ti o Common” (Uncommon Favor) in 2000
She is known for combining Yoruba language, traditional rhythms, proverbs, worship themes, and film soundtrack work
Has composed more than 300 soundtracks for Yoruba films over her career
Has released many albums, some of her popular ones include Iwe Eri, Agbara Re Ni, Angeli Mi, Yes & Amen, Oruko Tuntun, among others
Personal Life & Other Ventures
Married to Soji Alabi, who is also her producer/manager
They have children together
Runs a label called Gospel Vibes
Also involved in charitable work via foundation(s) connected to her ministry
