Biography of Bethel Music Kids / Bright Ones

Origins & Mission

Bethel Music Kids was formed as a children’s ministry extension of Bethel Music and Bethel Church in Redding, California. The goal was to engage young children in worship, helping them connect with God through music, dance, multimedia, and performance. As the kids involved grew older, the ministry evolved in both sound and identity.

Rebranding & Growth

In 2018, Bethel Music Kids relaunched under the name Bright Ones. The change reflected the maturing of its members (many growing from pre-teens into teens) and a shift toward a slightly older, more diverse pop-worship sound. The rebrand also aligned with broader creative ambitions—incorporating multimedia, choreography, and original music.

Sound & Releases

Their debut project Come Alive featured children singing Bethel worship favorites in high-energy arrangements. Subsequent releases include the Christmas Party EP. As Bright Ones, they released a self-titled album, combining covers and original worship songs tailored to a younger audience but with quality production and modern pop sensibilities.
