Full name: Benita Iyere Okojie (sometimes Benedicta Okojie-Adeyina)

Born in 1988 in Edo State, Nigeria; she is of Esan heritage

Studied English Language at Redeemers University

Rise to Fame & Music Career

She started singing and recording at a very young age: at age 10 she released her breakout single “Osemudiamen”

Her father managed many aspects of her early career, including promotion and distribution

Over the years she has released many gospel songs in English, Yoruba, and her native Edo; some titles include “Jesus and I,” “Child of God,” “Confidence,” “Owase,” “Jesu N’Abba,” and “Celebrate Jesus”

She married Olawale Adeyina in November 2016
