Full Name: Denzel Kwabena Owusu-Ansah Agyeman-Prempeh

Stage Name: Denzel Prempeh

Origin: Accra, Ghana (from Ejisu in the Ashanti Region)

Professions: Gospel musician, songwriter, worship leader, pastor

Early Life & Education

Denzel Prempeh grew up in Accra. He attended St. Andrew’s Junior High School, followed by Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School. During school, he was involved in choirs. At the University of Ghana, he joined and later led choirs like the Chosen Vessel Choir and the University Mass Choir.

Music & Ministry Career

In 2006, he joined the Love Project Choir under Danny Nettey, which had a big influence on his ministry.

In 2010, he founded HeartbeatMusic, a non-denominational Christian music ministry. Through HeartbeatMusic, he releases music, organizes worship events, and leads worship movements.

He serves as a pastor at Destiny Chapel in Adenta, Accra, where he balances pastoral duties with his music and worship engagements.

Major Works & Events

Live albums include Tent Experience, A Sound From Heaven, and Deeper Touch.

He has released EPs and singles like Jesus Medley, Sweet Holy Spirit, Obiaa Enihor, Meni Obiaa, Ayeyi, among others.

His annual worship event, Touching God’s Heart (TGH), has become a flagship event in Ghanaian gospel music.

Personal Life & Values

He is married to Maame Abena Agyeman-Prempeh and they have children.

Denzel is also involved in philanthropic work through the Heartbeat Foundation, particularly supporting families of individuals with cerebral palsy.
