Born in Kaduna State, Nigeria, into a family of seven — she is the first of five children

Grew up in a home where music was strong; her grandmother, mother, and siblings have all done music

Started singing when she was about 10 years old; her earliest “recording” was making sounds with a bottle and spoon during a family recording session with her father
